SEARCH FOR GOD STUDY GROUP PROGRAM

One of the most important and valuable aspects of the Edgar Cayce readings is the focus on self-transformation for personal and soul growth. When Cayce came to a challenging time with his life work, several dedicated people close to Cayce and “The work” asked for information in a reading as to where they should go from there. This reading was the first of 144 readings given to this group of people outlining treasured step-by-step lessons on how to grow spiritually. This inquisitive, devoted group became the first Search for God Study Group, and Cayce worked with them for 11 years as they compiled this information into two books, Search for God Books 1 and 11. We now have SFG study groups throughout the world studying and applying the principles given in these readings.

The Cayce material tells us that everything we need lies within us. Studying in a SFG group helps each person to become their own teacher, and each becomes a teacher to others via their own transformation. We are all students at times and teachers at times. Group support is essential and beneficial. They consist of small groups (2-12 people) that meet in private homes for two hours weekly to study, meditate, apply the lessons, and pray together. They provide a balanced, supportive and safe approach to spiritual development and learning.
